Конференция «Политика мира и доверия – основа международной безопасности, стабильности и развития», приуроченная к 26-летию постоянного нейтралитета Туркменистана и Международному дню нейтралитета состоялась сегодня в Ашхабаде.
В форуме принял участие Президент Гурбангулы Бердымухамедов.
Для обсуждения значения и сути туркменского нейтралитета были приглашены высокопоставленные представители авторитетных международных организаций и структур, в том числе ООН, ОБСЕ, СНГ, ОЭС, Организации тюркских государств, Международной организации тюркской культуры, а также Меджлиса, вице-премьеры, руководители министерств и ведомств страны, главы аккредитованных в Туркменистане дипмиссий зарубежных государств, представители дипломатического корпуса страны и др.
В своем выступлении Гурбангулы Бердымухамедов дал ёмкую характеристику главным принципам государственного нейтралитета. Он подчеркнул, что Туркменистан привержен развитию международного сотрудничества во имя мира, стабильности и устойчивого развития. Также глава государства акцентировал внимание на необходимости формировании новой философии международных отношений, которая основывается на чётко выверенные политические критерии, здоровый, позитивный прагматизм, общепризнанные и понятные всем человеческие ценности.
Участники конференции заслушали выступления Генерального секретаря Организации Экономического Сотрудничества Х.Нозири, Генерального секретаря Организации тюркских государств Багдата Амреева, Генерального секретаря Международной организации тюркской культуры (ТЮРКСОЙ) Дюсена Касеинова, Специального представителя Генерального секретаря ООН по Центральной Азии, главы Регионального центра ООН по превентивной дипломатии для Центральной Азии Натальи Герман, Постоянного координатора ООН в Туркменистане Дмитрия Шлапаченко и главы Центра ОБСЕ в Ашхабаде Джона МакГрегора.
На конференции отмечалось, что с учётом своего нейтрального статуса Туркменистан намерен и дальше укреплять взаимовыгодное партнёрство с международными и региональными структурами.
Инициатива проведения данного форума в Ашхабаде принадлежит Президенту Туркменистана. Конференция вызвала широкий международный резонанс, активный интерес и поддержку в мировых кругах, сообщает МИД Туркменистана.
По итогам Международного форума мира и доверия был подписан солидный пакет документов, насчитывающий 26 многосторонних актов.
